The makers of Heart of the Beast have released a trailer for the movie. A survival thriller, the film stars Brad Pitt, J.K Simmons and Anna Lambe in prominent roles.
The David Ayer film revolves around James Belmont (essayed by Pitt), an ex-Army Special Forces officer and Odin, his retired combat dog. The duo is stranded in the challenging Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash.

According to the official synopsis, “Belmont and Odin are forced into a relentless battle against nature as they navigate the unforgiving terrain. The film explores the bond between a soldier and his canine companion as they confront life-threatening challenges in their fight for survival.”
The film is written by Cameron Alexander. Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, Ayer, and Pitt serve as producers, while Damien Chazelle, Scott Lumpkin, Cameron Alexander, Chris Long, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary, Sophie Cassidy and Zack Conroy are executive producers.
Before Heart of the Beast, Ayer and Pitt collaborated for Fury, the 2014 World War II drama also starring Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman and Michael Peña.

A Paramount production, Heart of the Beast is set to release on September 25, 2026. At this year’s CinemaCon, Paramount had showcased footage from the movie.
Pitt was last seen in the blockbuster F1, the racing drama directed by Joseph Kosinski. The Hindu review of the movie said, “F1 is a different beast of a racing film. It wants to burn some rubber and look good doing it, but once the dust settles and Zimmer stops rattling your spine, it’s just a turbocharged two-and-a-half-hour victory lap to nowhere.”
