Tovino Thomas-starrer Pallichattambi, directed by Dijo Jose Antony, is set to hit theatres. The release date announcement was made through a motion poster on social media on Tuesday, featuring the actor in a mass look.
Said to be an action-packed period drama set in the 1950s-60s, the film is an important project for Dijo, whose last release Malayalee from India starring Nivin Pauly failed to impress the audience. Pallichattambi will hit the screens on April 09, 2026.
Tovino is paired opposite Kayadu Lohar, who made her debut in Malayalam with Pathonpathaam Noottandu and was also seen in Oru Jaathi Jathakam. She also played a significant role in the Tamil blockbuster, Dragon and will be seen in Dulquer Salmaan’s forthcoming Malayalam release, I’m Game, directed by Nahas Hidhayath.
Also in the cast are Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, and Prashant Alexander among others. There has been unconfirmed reports that Prithviraj, who showcased a powerful performance in Dijo’s Jana Gana Mana, is making a cameo appearance.
Written by S Suresh Babu, the film has music by Jakes Bejoy who is on a dream run in tinsel town with chartbusters to his credit, the recent one being Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
Cinematography is by Tijo Tomy and editor is Sreejith Sarang. Produced by Noufal & Brijesh and CCC Brothers, the film will release in five languages.
Meanwhile, the movie is reaching theatres exactly a week after the release of the third instalment of the thriller franchise, Drishyam 3, on April 02, 2026.
