‘Toxic’ starring Yash: Makers reveal poster of Rukmini Vasanth from the magnum opus

The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Upshave revealed the first-look poster of actor Rukmini Vasanth from the movie. Starring KGF star Yash, Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas.

In the poster, Rukmini appears in an elegant look, wearing a sleek, dark teal full-sleeve gown with a high neckline. She’s styled with minimal accessories, holding a small clutch in one hand, and wearing dark high-heeled shoes. Set against a carnival-themed party background, the outfit exudes a confident and powerful vibe of the 70s. The actor plays Mellisa in the movie.

Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria. The first-look posters of these actors have generated enough buzz around the movie. Reports say, the teaser of the movie is set to drop on January 08, on the occasion of Yash’s birthday.

KVNT Productions, the banner behind the upcoming Jana Nayagan starring Vijay, has bankrolled Toxic along Monster Mind Creations helmed by Yash. Toxic is set to hit the screens on March 19, 2026, clashing against Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to the gargantuan blockbuster of 2025 starring Ranveer Singh.

Talking about Rukmini, Geetu said on Instagram, “What I admire most about Rukmini is her intelligence as an actor. She doesn’t just perform, she processes. She asks questions, not out of doubt but out of curiosity. It pushes me to think deeper and sometimes even my own choices as a director.”

Four years after KGF: Chapter 2, Yash returns to the big screen with Toxic. The film has been simultaneously filmed in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages—underscoring its global ambition.

The film boasts a powerhouse technical team, including National Award winner Rajeev Ravi as cinematographer, Ravi Basrur on music, Ujwal Kulkarni on editing, and TP Abid as production designer. High-octane action is choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) along with National Award-winning duo Anbariv & Kecha Khamphakdee.
